Do I have to work in a shelter to take this course?

No. The course is open to anyone who loves dogs and wants to be a better handler, trainer, or advocate. If you work in a shelter or with shelter dogs, you'll get specific, immediate value. The training principles apply to any dog.

How long does the course take?

The course contains about 25 hours of material: video lessons, reading, and quizzes. You work at your own pace. Go through it once, redo sections, or take it a module at a time over several months. There is no deadline.

Is this breed-specific?

No. Because the course was filmed inside a real shelter environment, you'll see a wide variety of breeds, drives, and temperaments. That's the point. The skills you build apply across the board.

What tools are used in the course?
