Mellow and Ellen Day 4 – Puppy Training

The great thing about these series videos is that you get to see the evolution of training unlike any other lessons. It’s one thing to see a dog or puppy learning something in a video and at the end of the video it’s perfect. Then you try it and get stuck over and over agin. The truth is that it takes multiple repetitions over multiple weeks to really get the information across to your dog.

This series really helps you understand that and keep you on track. I think these lessons are the backbone of this site and help people like nothing else. I love watching the progress of each and every dog I train, and seeing it on video makes the process even more enjoyable.

In this lesson we continued to focus on those basics that will evolve into everything we want our puppy to know. This lesson includes the RECALL, NO JUMP, STAY, meeting OTHER DOGS, DISTRACTIONS, LOOSE LEASH WALKING and LEAVE IT. These are all the basics we want our dogs to know. I enjoy mixing them all into a lesson so the dog will have a solid understanding of the process and then we can break it down in the sessions on other days. Remember this is only 4 lessons / 4 weeks into the training and look at the amazing results we’re seeing with Ellen and Mellow!
