Puppy Basics Teaching Heel, Name, Come, Place and MORE

Today’s lesson is day #2 of Siggy’s training>. Yossi and Siggy are staring out with a bang… lots of new stuff to cover including teaching Siggy:

1. His name and how to learn that Siggy is his name.
2. Luring some basic heeling.
3. Go to Place
4. Positions on the place board.
5. COME

…… and a whole lot more. I think the biggest take-away from this lesson (and these puppy lessons in general) is how to best teach our puppies (and dogs) how to learn behaviors fairly and setting dogs up for success.

You’ll see in Siggy as well as Yossi where things are easy and how to solve some problems as they arise. You won’t get a better lesson than watching me with a student and their dog / puppy. It’s like taking a private lesson from me!
