In this lesson I want to talk about what you need to train your dog.

Let’s start with the basics, you need a dog and you need you!  Everything else will be a bonus, but here’s what I recommend as the necessities.

Everyone will tell you that you need a bunch of gear to train your dog. I love gear and stuff, but the truth be told, you really don’t need all that much to effectively train your dog.

The more stuff you have, the more complicated training will become.  When I started out I bought every gimmick. Most of it got used once or twice and then given or trashed them – okay, I still have some it.
