It has been about 10 months since I last posted here.

We got our fourth and final pass for Junior Hunter. I’m new to this sport and It has been an amazing journey. I’m willing to share the ups and downs with anyone that has an interest. We are working toward Senior Hunter and the momentum is exhilarating.

    How is your Journey?

    Hi Tommy,

    Nice looking Husky.

I have not seen a Husky at a Retriever hunt test yet. I have seen a wide variety of dogs like Labradors, Goldens, Flatcoats, Poodles, Vizsla, Munsterlanders, German Shorthaired, Duck Tollers…
I also hunt with my dog. During a hunt there is a unique and defining response from my dog when she gets that fallen game and returns it to your hand. A lot of times they find and retrieve the game when you can’t and the dog seems to know this. There is a look in her eyes and the way she comes running back to my side with pride and purpose.

The hunt test also have high value and training days with a club (hunt simulation). However there is a big difference for me and my dog when we are on a hunt.

What type of hunting are doing or thinking of doing with your dog?
