Hey Robert… I may have answered my own question. I took the larger platform I got from Amazon, put it between the couch and the wall and encouraged him through that narrow channel. Bingo! 2 feet on the platform with no problem. I’ll reward just that for two or three days, then graduate to doing it in an open room and from there to an upside down bowl… I think this works great, yes? Maybe it will help others to hear that. Loving your site and your teaching!

I have owned two Salukis for 8 and 10 years . Neutered Male and Female. She ran the show. I coursed both of them for three years.
Three questions:
1. With your knowledge of dogs, what do you think reasonable expectations are of a Saluki?
2. My female had to be put down last week after being diagnosed and treated for anal sac adenocarcinoma. My male is a soft personality and deferred to her. I think he is confused and unsure of how to act since she has gone. Do Dogs grieve their bonded dog packmate?

Is there any certification that is open to the use of prong or e-collars other than ___? I have read the fine print on several and they state that use of these adversities is an automatic removal of the certification. I am part time and the finances are limited.

11 month old intact English cocker has been showing signs of dominance. He is neutral around other dogs on a leash and on a patio but when we bring him to our friend he’s a bit exuberant. If the older dog is confident they play amazing with no issues but if the dog is a submissive they coward away and bare their teeth at him. This makes him stand over them, mount them, and get pretty pushy. He is always on a drag leash so we can manage play. He has never snapped or growled at another dog, everything online is about dominance aggression but I don’t think that’s what this is! Thanks in advance.

One way I was taught when I was under my professor is not to repeat commands (after the teaching stage anyways) Repeating commands falls under spatial context, if I say sit, sit, sit the dog will decide which sit he/she will sit on. While watching your videos and I see you repeat commands, maybe this is covered in later lessons but I really would like to know about this, because you have verbally said in training videos not to repeat yourself. I’m interested in knowing more about this from both sides Spatial context and when/if/how Thank you for your consideration.
