Hello. I’m thinking about purchasing your training vest, but I’m unable to locate the link for information on the magnetic training balls mentioned in the video. Please let me know where to obtain the magnetic training balls and/or how to make one. Thanks.

4.5 month female Mal. She’s an amazing dog and I can take anything out of her mouth that I want. But she won’t let me anywhere near her toys-squeaky toy, frisbee and blue ball. She is not aggressive towards me, she just plants herself over the toy and won’t let me touch it. I’m not sure what to do. She is not aggressive at all in anyway. I’ve tried luring her away with treats, but it doesn’t work. Can you offer suggestions?

Hey, Robert. My malinois is 1 year old now. For the past few months he was very good in general. However, these days when I do my work at home he always tries to jump or even hump on me to initiate play I think. I don’t like this jumping behavioral, so i told him no but he keeps jumping until i tell him to sit. I’m not sure if this is the correct way to stop him. I don’t want to yell at him, but the more i push him away the more excited he gets. I think these might caused by my schedule these days. I’ve been very busy for couple days. Maybe more exercise will stop this?

Follow up to 01/11/23 question. Robert, I have a 4mo malinois (Archer) and a Jack Russell (Logan) who is 4yrs old. Logan is not too much for Archer. Also, my yard is about 30×60. I assume that when Archer can’t see me, he jumps on the sliding door to get back inside. This only happens sometimes. This occurs in the morning when they go out to potty, and when they go out to play, at least for 5 minutes, then he’s okay. Should I ignore the jumping, or is there a way to stop him from jumping? Archer is only going to get bigger, and I don’t feel comfortable with him jumping on the glass.

Hi Robert,

I would like to ask 2 questions:

1: my 3-month-old Malinois puppy, when we go for a walk she starts to smell everything, I make the corrections, she stops doing it and then I give her a treat but she does it again a few meters later, Am I doing something wrong or what can I do?

2: when we are at home she starts to grab things sometimes she responds to the leave it command other times she doesn’t, when I want to take them away she runs away at first I would go after her then I realized that she looked as if We were playing, she keeps doing I don’t follow her anymore, what can i

Hi Robert,

I have a five month old GSD who I’ve well socialized with people and he’s had brief interactions with a few safe dogs that went well. He’s always barked when excited and done play bowing/etc when he sees a dog. I’ve never rewarded this by letting him meet the dog.

Well now his barking seems deeper and has a small growl, but he’s not displaying other signs of fear (tail tucked, backing up, hair up, etc). Is this just his bark changing as he ages and how do you recommend I correct this behavior without making him fearful of seeing dogs?

Hi Robert! I have a shetland sheepdog (1y) male and he keeps getting out. I live on a 2 acre fenced off yard but he still manages to escape even after fixing our fence. I don’t know how to contain him anymore. Is there anyway I can train him to stop from getting out of our yard? Thank you!

Thank you for allowing me to join a fantastic platform, I only wish I found it sooner. Reactivity? This has been a constant battle and I recently read about the dog greeting chain, if what I read is correct then my dog obviously has a small piece missing which is presenting as reactivity, how do I understand/approach this?

He struggles to pass/approach but is often perfectly fine after having a few seconds/minutes to settle into the situation.

I understand this will most likely be covered in the platform but i don’t want to jump ahead despite having some foundations already in place.

Hi Robert, our rescue just pulled a dog from the shelter recently and he has resource guarding issue mainly with toys only. He is a young 3 yr old mixed breed and is in foster home. I would like to support this foster in helping with the resource guarding issues so they can work with him and help him be more adoptable in future. I’ve advised not to give him any toys or bones for the first week or two for decompression time, but would like to know if you have a lesson here that addresses the issue. Will purchase your shelter dog course soon, once finances allow! Thanks

Hi, I have a 15 mo old female boxer. Thanks to your videos she does great on a leash. When she sees dogs while out on walks, near or far away, she will stare at them as we pass until they’re out of sight, sometimes this means she is looking backwards while still walking forwards. She’s not pulling on the leash or otherwise reacting to them. Is this, as you’ve said in your videos a situation where “she’s allowed to look”? Or is this behavior something that could turn into a problem that I should correct, and if so what would you recommend? Many thanks!

Hello Robert. Your videos help me alot with my 8 m/o working line GSD. Even though I’m very limited in the tool usage since we live in switzerland. But i managed to work around it so far. My question is about fading the crate and calming inside the house. Aris rarely calms down outside of his crate and he never goes in it by himself. No matter how much or less training and stimulation he has, hes always up to something. How can i get him to learn calming himself? Greetings from Switzerland

I’m not sure how many thank yous you get but I wanted to make sure you got mine. My dog, Belgian Malinois / Siberian husky, was reactively aggressive. She was that dog lunging at the end of her leash teeth bared growling. Off leash I always was stressed scanning for anybody coming our way so I could have her on leash. I watched your lessons and member call videos and followed your advice (including the expectation that this would take some time). I can’t tell you the awesome feeling when I heard the words come out of my mouth with confidence, “Yes, she’s friendly”. THANK YOU!!!!

Dear Robert,

my eight months old high drive hunting dog (a Kleiner Münsterländer) has developed the habit of completely ignoring me (and awesome treats) and staring at dogs he wants to play with. After watching your videos we tried an Garmin e-collar. The first response he shows is on 4/18 where the skin around the collar is shaking on 5 even his ears are but apart from that he is completely stiff, almost frozen. Like every Dog owner I love my Dog so I stopped after the first try because I don’t want to correct him in a way he doesn’t understand or even hurt him.

Thanks a lot!
