Our golden retriever is now 4 years old ald his the most gentle loving girl, who has now grown into believing she’s a guard dog. She barks at absolutely everyone that she sees passing by our fence. It’s a solid fence with only a couple of inches from the floor that allows her to peak through. She only barks at other dogs and patrols the border of
the fence every time she goes out. She has a massively intimidating bark and we have a 16 week old puppy at home which I really wouldn’t want to also pick up this bad habit. When she barks I now call her inside with a treat and close the door?

Ruby (1 yr old border collie) pitches a fit when she doesn’t get her way. She barks, goes after your feet in the house, and if outside on walk and she doesn’t get to meet someone she turns on me, gets aggressive grabbing the leash and jumping. It looks very much to me like a dominance issue but I could be wrong. She’s about 40 lbs;I’m
barely 5’ tall. Working obedience we tried a front harness, martingale, gentle leader, now prong—her fur so thick they don’t seem to work. I’m not sure how to deal with this. Thank you for any suggestions/advice.

For diamond nail trimmer bit is 60 grit or 80 grit better? I have a large GSD with hard tough nails. I see one Amazon review stating 80 grit doesn’t remove material well. Your website directs me to an 80 grit model. 60 to cut and 80 to polish?

My 12-wk GSD puppy pees excitedly only when he sees my spouse. It does not matter if he just peed outside. He does not do this with anyone else. What does this mean and how do you stop it?

I adopted a 2 1/2 yr. old Staffie-mix from the shelter in mid-Oct. She was taken in as a stray in May, has had at least 1 litter. She was treated for depression & bed sores while impounded. She’s settling in, is much less anxious, and is learning some basics, but aside from occasional zoomies and jumping up on people (she’s getting better at not doing that), she seems to have no clue about play. She has no interest in balls or tug toys. If I throw a ball, she ignores it. If I bounce it towards her, she might ignore or, or might catch or chase it, but immediately loses interest. Help?

My 2 year old german shepherd flips out when I use a broom, vacuum, rake etc. she has done since day 1! I’ve just been putting her in her crate with a few treats when I sweep or vacuum, but she barks and gets crazy when it’s close. I’ve never had a dog that has done this, they would just get up and move to another room! Oh, she also likes to bite the wheels on the trash can when I move it. I’m not sure how to stop this behavior. She is very chill most of the time.

What is your opinion on rattlesnake avoidance training? It involves exposing the dog to the scent & sound of a rattlesnake then giving it a jolt from an e-collar.

Hello my 2 year old Mal has recently started stealing food. She waits for no one to be looking and then she is fast to grab it. I do my best to keep her a command such as place when there is food around but I have teenagers and it’s a busy house. Any suggestions?
