Halo Robert with family. Me and my 2 malinois girls have just gotten company from 4 new Alaskan husky puppies, they haven’t been with us for long jus 8 weeks old. The puppies that lived with us last season have moved on to new adventures with the rest of the gown up dogs. I did things differently last season, luring and shaping, and a lot of alternative training early on. This was so much easier on the dogs and took away a lot of stress. You have helped me make puppies have a better start in life, thank you. Even not a question I wanted to know this. Best regards from the deep Norwegian woods.

Hi Robert. Just got a 14 weeks Mal puppy from a reputable breeder, and he is scared of a lot of the big outside world. In term of socialization. My plan is to take him out multiple times per week and get him gradually used to everything. Already started basic training with him and enrolled him in a puppy class. Of course he is not heeling at this time. So if I take him out to socialize and he pulls on the leash, what is the correct thing to do? Should teach him to walk properly on the leash before I start taking him out. Thanks

Our dog we have had for 9 weeks is 14 months old. Likes to be petted ,will lay on our feet. But sometimes something will set him off and he growls somtimes barks violently towards us. Has nipped my mother in law who lives with us. Why he ok then aggresive? How to train correct before gets worse.

Hi Robert. Hope you and Janet and the pups are doing well. I’ve looked at the member lessons and haven’t been able to find a video on how to teach switching sides on a behavior. I.e. if loose leash heeling on the left and I want my dog to switch to the right side but keep doing the same behavior. Or if the dog is in a middle and facing forward, having them swap to facing behind me but still in a middle position.
