Why is this even a lesson? Shouldn’t this be so overtly obvious that a lesson on this topic should seem like a waste of time?

Well, the fundamentals are so often overlooked in sports, art and just about everything. The leash is the single most important tool we use in connecting us to our dogs. But it also brings with it the biggest possibilities for mistakes.

How do we hold it?
How does it control the dog?
How do we keep the dog from choking themselves on it?

….and so many more questions! In this section we will cover them and even more. Getting a basic understanding of the value of this tool will change the way you see and use the leash in the future with all dogs. There’s also another part on removing dogs from their kennels in this section. We touched on it previously, but a little more explanation and more example may help you along if you’re still having issues.

By now you are almost 1/2 way through the course and the training is going to get more interesting, more challenging and also more rewarding! The dogs you’ll help throughout your life will thank you! ~Robert
