Max is a handful and we’ve said that since he was a little puppy. You’ve followed him along in so much of his training. He’s made amazing strides, but he is still an AKITA, a very formidable and powerful dog. Add to that a dog that is thick headed and you know what you have to deal with. I really don’t recommend this breed for anyone. Joey has had 3 so he knows the situation and what it takes.

Since we had been training at the park, some of that structure didn’t carry over to his home, so we needed to do a session there. This session is kind of out of the weekly classes you’ve been following, but I thought you have to see this since it really shows my corrections, timing and reward for this behavior.

I hope you’ll learn something and gain some insight. I would warn, that a dog like Max is highly likely to turn and redirect when annoyed, so cover your ass!
