If there’s ONE lesson that will give you all the information to train your puppy, this might be it. Session one was the lesson that laid the groundwork for Mellow and Ellen, and this one picks up where that left off.
Here you’ll see Mellow putting into practice what we learned on day one, as Ellen has been working on it with her at home all week long. You can see, even after one session, the wheels are turning in that little brain. Training puppies is so much fun, and this shows it. Let me list for you all of the things that this lesson contains, but bear in mind, these lessons are structured to give you things to work on for an entire week or more! They are in NO WAY meant to be crammed into ONE training session. My goal with both my members and my in-person clients is to give you things take home and work on.
This one lesson contains:
- NO-JUMP
- HARD MOUTH – SOFT MOUTH
- RECALL – teaching the come command!
- LEAVE IT
- NO-JUMP with a stranger walking by
- LEAVE IT pt.2 and 3
- POSITIONS – SIT- DOWN -STAND luring and shaping
- BEGINNING STAY
- MEETING OTHER DOGS
There is so much information in this one lesson that it could be a course in itself. You could take this ONE lesson and have enough material to train for a month. Take it slow, watch and absorb it, then choose which pieces you want to work on. Break it down, keep it short and fun!
