Even though this lesson is entitled “puppy” it doesn’t mean that it’s only for puppies. You can use most any lesson that is entitled “puppy” and train your dog with it.
Puppies give us that bank slate we love to work with. But we are also given that chance with a new dog we just brought home or even for teaching newer behaviors to our current dogs.
In this video I address some of the issues that might be making it hard for your dog to learn this lesson. I posted the full version (int – adv) a couple of weeks ago. So by now you should have had enough time to work through it and see where your sticking points are.
We all love to give our dogs treats for training and it’s great, until your dog becomes so used to your hands delivering treats that the dog looks only at your hands.
