This is a great lesson and a great time to post it. With all of the content that I’ve been posting of Schmuley, this lesson will give you a great perspective on 3 different Malinois. All Mals, but very different. You’ve seen a lot of Schmoo and here we’re getting back to Siggy. Look at how much softer and easier going Siggy is compared to Schmoo and then look at Goofy.
Every dog is different and seeing this series as well as the other mals I’ve shown, you can certainly see where your dog is fitting in. That’s what makes these lessons so valuable. Seeing the same training concepts applied to different temperaments of dogs, even within the same breed. That’s what helps people apply training correctly!
In this lesson we cover some of the basics as we work on really trying to perfect them. Including the FRONT, the HEEL position, as well as some POSITION work on the table… Which I love to do. Also, you’ll see some great social work with Duane and Goofy entering the lesson… and look at all the social distractions we work around. At a public park with kids, people other dogs and cars. Getting your dog used to this type of training is a game changer. Yeah some dogs can do things in their living room or back yards, but do it in public, in a distracting environment and see what happens.
I hope you’ll enjoy this lesson and all of the lessons and that you are – MOST IMPORTANTLY – making great progress with your dogs!!!
