Hello Robert my question is how do you train an entire Golden Retriever male who gets used at stud a few times a year to not go off in search of smell in the Seek back exercise. Is the best tool to use an ecollar to teach him not to mark his territory when doing the Exercise

My mali was not socialized. When she was 10 weeks I got covid pneumonia; she was over 5 months before I could physically introduce her to the world. She was reactive to everything. She’s now 4. I work with her every day and now she enjoys a busy life with flyball, scentwork and competitive obedience. She’s a very good dog citizen. However in obedience where I need her to concentrate on me, in any outdoor venue, she is always looking for potential threats. She has massive potential. Her edginess spoils her heel as she occasionally drifts, while checking. Any tips on keeping her focus. Thanks

Hi Robert, I have an 8 month old half GS/ half Mal. I have worked with mals before this was not new to me. However, what is new is that I noticed he loses interest and engagement with me quick unlike my other mal who loves working with me. I have tried every different kind of treats, food, even withheld meal time. He used to love working with me but I made a mistake of enrolling him at a board and train when I had to travel – and he came back home FLAT. How do I get him out of his shell again? How do I engage with him again? I am losing weight doing movements with him! LOL Thank you!

Hey Robert, I’ve been showing my 4 yr old English Cocker for Beginner Novice to earn his 3rd leg. Lately in the ring, he starts sniffing for some of the events, and I can’t get his nose off the ground. He’s NQ’d a couple of times, since I was not able to stop his sniffing, which
causes him to wonder off and not pay attention to me. If he doesn’t sniff, he executes the exercises perfectly. I’m open for any suggestions on how to stop his sniffing when he gets into the competition ring. Thanks so much!
