How do I best an introduction? i keep the cats locked

Would you ever entertain the idea of reviewing peoples training routines in a short video they sent in? What I mean is, sometimes we get into these habits when we train thinking we are doing everything correct but in reality it takes an outside look to show us what we are doing wrong or how we can improve on the smaller things. Training always feels like you are working a the same, a few of the same things over and over for months to get it right and often times feels like there is always room for improvement. Thank you for all you do for the dog community!

When going for a walk, we periodically stop and I tell my dog “Relax” which means that he can sniff around and I’ll follow him a little bit.

However, this obviously can easily get into him pulling a lot and in a way that’s too much.

Should I not be doing this at all or is there some way to allow him to sniff around without getting ridiculous about it?

What would be the first lessons to start with a shelter dog from 1-3 years old. Thank you

4 month old GSD; Training is progressing well. I am trying to socialize. She seems very shy around other people. People want to pet her and she seems fine on approach but starts to growl a little but when they walk away. Do you have advice for correcting this behavior? Should I give a “pop” on the leash and move away and back?
