My 3 month old GSD puppy barks and react with other dogs passing by and people who say “Hi” to her (she’s fine when people are just passing by). I do not let strangers pet her and I do not let any dogs play with her as well while we were outside socializing. What do you suggest of me doing whenever she is barking at other dogs and people. Is it fine to give her a leash correction or it will only make her reactivity worse in the long run? Thank you in advance, Robert. Godbless always!

Hi Robert, I am working with a client to teach her 5 month old Bernadoodle puppy and her two young children good dog manners. The children are 7 years and 4 years. The issue I am seeing is the 4 year old is pretty much a second puppy. I watched your puppy biting video and liked what you said about not being in the puppy face. My question is how to get the 4 year old not in the face and discourage the puppy type behavior from the son. The client is very receptive to feedback and advice and wants to have a well behaved dog. The puppy is a very well natured puppy and is wonderful with the kids.

We are a family of 5 with 3 dogs, various breeds. I’ve struggled with this with every pup. I’m teaching my new pup now and want to address this before it happens. Please tell me what I can do when we’re walking together and my pup starts pulling ahead to walk first. My kids still run and jump and trips can be very exciting for the kids and dogs. How can I keep her from pulling ahead? Thank you

Hi Robert. Do muzzle grabs have any place in dog training?

My wife and I have a 5 1/2 month old Yellow Lab we have had since he was 10 weeks old. Your series of the first 30 days with Schmoo was really helpful and definitely worth it. Our dog Charlie 60# is inconsistent with loading. I have a 4 door pickup with side steps he uses going in and out. After a couple of try’s he generally loads up at home, but when we load to return home it is hit and miss. We use lures and rewards. He definitely has the ability. it’s almost like a brain block. He’s not anxious while riding.

Baby sitting my best friend’s dog while she goes to the UK for 2 weeks. She’s the sweetest cattle dog pitbull mix (10 months old) and I have a male working cocker (1 year old). They’re the best of friends and get along great, good at sharing toys, food and space. My only issue is they love to play and wrestle whenever they’re near each other. We’ve been practicing being neutral but to do this they’re both usually tethered to our bodies and we’ve been doing group walks with them. Any recommendations so we don’t have WWE smackdown in my house for 2 weeks is greatly appreciated
