Hi Evelyn, I totally agree with the previous commenters. Some dogs have stronger genetics than others. Find someone who really knows how to work with a dog with high drive and use play to set boundaries ~ the trainers that Ivan Balabanov certifies are all great at this! You can find one near you at trainingwithoutconflict.com. I also agree that ecollar, although a great tool, is not the right way to go to correct biting during play. That could have some fallout and could be partially why the behavior is worsening. Hope you find someone that can help you turn the relatioship around!

Hi Kamil, Good for you for taking whatever action you can. Sounds like you have quite a lively and drivey young dog on your hands who needs some more training. Dogs get hormone dumps and things will continute to evolve over the next year or two. I would try to find a professional trainer to continute to work with you on leash skills with a slip lead or even a prong (used correctly!) if needed to help you get these walks managed. Good leash skills are a life changer! I totally agree with Jennifer about Ivan Balabanoff’s techniques and tranining. He’s amazing and expert at working with dogs with high drive like it sounds like Sato is. Maybe consider getting him involved in some ring sport? That can also help you train and give him an outlet for all this energy!!! Best of luck and hang in there. You will find a way!
