Lol, you have perfect reading of the situation. He is very active. He has only two modes. One where he is running amok, playing with someone in the family and the other one is him sleeping. You absolutely right on him wanting to be engaging all the time is also right. Even when I get a brand new toy, its only fun for him for 5-10mins.. After that he just drops it in one corner and moves on. he once again gets very playful with it the minute I pick it up.

When he goes into zoomies, its just crazy fun to watch him run around but I am also afraid that he might knock down my dad who is actually quite old.

Thanks for all the inputs.. Will try and apply them. The biggest take away for me is that it is normal and I shouldnt be expecting too much obedience from him right now. He is too young for it and I should just let him be a puppy..

Thanks for the response.

If I understand correctly, the aim is to desensitize me sitting down or lying down by keeping him in a crate more often while I do these things.
Also, any suggestions on him being a brat when I say no. For example when he gets on the couch and i try to get him off, he start running around jumps back on the couch and starts snapping at my hand everytime i try to pull off.
