Affection between dogs
Hi, what are your thoughts on signs of affection between dogs. I kind of see 3 levels: grooming of another dogs genitals, grooming of another dog’s face or ears, and the one off, in passing, kisses on the other dog’s face. I kind of think the first 2 are dog behavior. The first being sexual and in some cases submissive in nature, the second being affectionate, but still dog-like, but the last one, kinda seems to be something they pick up from us. Thoughts?

I wouldn’t think so as many animals will pick & nose at each other especially those in pack/social settings.
It seems to me round here people have untaught their dog that a butt hello is how dogs meet & most allow their dogs faces to be shoved in others…
