Attention pooping puppy

Attention pooping puppy
Whenever we go outside (for a very short while, like 5 min), our puppy will usually attention poop (we can tell, because whenever it’s attention pooping, he’s doing it multiple times and smearing it open a bit).
It’s not like we’re ever punishing him for pooping (only rewarding when he’s outside), but obviously he’s realised that we are always cleaning it up when we get back in.
What to do/how to punish?

You mean he plays with his own poop? I would just reach in and pick it up before he has a change to turn around. That way he knows that once it is out it is daddy’s… LOL
