Ever wonder what your dog might love for breakfast?  Home cooked meals for dogs are my dog’s favorite, here’s a recipe of Oatmeal and Blueberries.

I found this recipe in Dr Jean Dodds book, Canine Nutrigenomics.  I’ve been feeding it to my dog ever since.  It’s a simple recipe and my dogs love it.

Oat Meal
Frozen Blueberries
Manuka Honey
Coconut Oil
Calcium Powder
and add a vitamin supplement.
*** I use as many organic ingredients as possible

Since I feed my dog a balanced diet of raw meats, bones, vegetables, rice, supplements and more.  A home cooked breakfast seems like a great idea.  I have been back and forth between no grain and grain and have come to the conclusion that if your dog doesn’t have an adverse reaction to grains it will not harm him..  Some grains, in fact, are super beneficial to a dog’s optimum health.  Just like oatmeal gives me energy for my day, oatmeal give both of my dogs  energy for their day.  And those of you who know my dogs know they have plenty of energy.

I highly recommend any book that Dr Dodds writes and can’t recommend Canine Nutrigenomics enough.

I only feed home cooked meals for dogs and raw food.  It’s rare if ever that I feed my dog kibble.  If you’re interested in the best health for your dog, please research more home cooked meals for dogs, RAW feeding, BARF and more.
