  Intro and Working/Multi-dog household question

  Hi!

  I’m excited to join this community. Robert’s videos have helped me tremendously since adopting my first dog a year ago.

  I’m now set to start training for a new job with scent detection dogs in the next few weeks. I’m sure they will cover all the scent-related training, but my question here is for those with experience living with working dogs, in a multi-dog household.

  – What is home life like? I’ll be providing care for the animal and they’ve set out rules prohibiting contact with personal pets and kenneling when not working, presumably to build frustration/drive for when it comes time to work.

  – Any differences in introduction/structure than introducing a regular dog to the household? I’ve seen Robert’s video/AMA on the importance of maintaining trust with your first dog by putting them first.
