i started raw feeding when i noticed my mal was always bloated and was pooping a lot (and very wet)
i made, for myself, an excel file which computes the percentages of meat, liver, offal, bones so that the meal i give is “almost” complete. i made a screenshot below. it counts the number of calories too.
i try to follow the 80% meat 10% bones, 5% liver, 5% offal recipe. i also add a teaspoon of calcium (from ground egg shells) and multivitamin powder.

now i wake up everyday at 5am to feed my dogs and go on a walk for 15 minutes after their meal. when i put my malinois on the treadmill after the walk i can do some yoga stretching while waiting for him to finish.
at work, since i bring him with me, i am now forced to get up, play, train with him 2-3 times a day, aside from going out with him to do his business outside the office.
after work, when we go home, i feed the dogs again and go out for another 15 min walk.
the dogs made me more disciplined.

my dog’s heel position isn’t perfect too. but maybe if he sits too far away from you the next time, say no, try to move one step and call him to heel again until he gets to the correct position and then reward.

i have been using an electrical treadmill (for humans) to add extra workout for my 1 year old Mal. i am always with him while he’s on it because of the warning @robert-cabral mentioned on his videos. i can’t afford to buy a doggie treadmill and there’s no way for me to get one here in the Philippines too.
the way i was able to get him on it is same as the crate training tips Robert gave. first i put some treat on the treadmill for him to get on it. did that a couple of times.
Next step was to walk beside him on the treadmill at the lowest speed setting just like when we’re out on walks, then i gradually moved it up, but i was still walking with him.
Next i had him walk/run on it between my legs, while i was on the foot rails. when i was confident he’d walk/run on his own without me having to walk with him, i got off the treadmill and sat in front of him (and the treadmill) and continued to praise him.
Now whenever he sees me pickup the dog harness he’s eager to go run on the treadmill.
    here he is:

    1) favorite bonding is when we play fetch. it’s one of the most fun thing for my 1 year old Belgian Malinois. i can see it in his body language.

    2) when we go on walks and there’s a big truck that passes by that’s when he gets stressed. i usually just go on walking or when it’s too stressful for him i ask him to sit and let the truck pass us by, then say good boy, and go back walking. im not sure it’s the right way of doing it.
