    I agree with Ed . It is not just the dog that needs training . If you want a super relationship with your dog YOU are the one that needs to learn to handle your dog .

    Board and train facilities are fine , but , if they do not teach you too , then most will be lost over time . The handling MUST be totally consistent

    Hmmm I would only go to the dog park when there are not many other dogs there .

    Dog parks can be a real shit show . If there is an issue most peeps at the dog parks

    Do not what to do . Protect your dog .

    Stay with them at all times . And keep an eye out as to what the other dogs are doing

    Also . Having said that , when I first got Aspen he had never been off leash his whole life

    (4 years) . So I used the dog park as my initial training grounds .

    I would look at what Robert offers first . Then take a look at what the other trainers use .

    You should be able to decide with the info gathered from that .

    A friend of mine in southern Maine just lost a beautiful buck . He went back and spent all day looking and could not find it !
